Bio

Apollo Woods is the Executive Director of Bigger Than Food Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Oklahoma City dedicated to community revitalization, cultural enterprise, and economic development across urban and rural Oklahoma. A visionary leader, entrepreneur, Eagle Scout, and podcast host, Apollo has built a career at the intersection of food equity, community empowerment, and creative placemaking. He is the founder of Growing For Good Farm, a working urban farm in Spencer, Oklahoma that anchors the Harvest Commons Agricultural District, a 13-acre framework for community-centered agricultural development. Named one of the Top 50 Black Marketers to Watch in the United States by the African American Marketing Association in 2025, Apollo brings a rare combination of strategic vision, grassroots credibility, and cultural fluency to everything he leads. His work moves communities from surviving to thriving, one farm, one initiative, and one relationship at a time.
