Elevator Pitch

I help visual creatives license authentic Black and Afro-diasporic imagery worldwide, so brands tell better stories.

Bio

Josiane Faubert is the founder of PICHA Stock, a visual storytelling platform dedicated to reframing the global narrative of Afro-descendant communities through photography, art, and curated cultural experiences. Driven by a belief that authentic representation changes how the world sees itself, Josiane built PICHA into a stock photo agency that offers culturally relevant imagery to brands, agencies, and publishers — while empowering local photographers. Under her leadership, PICHA launched a grant program supporting photographers across six countries during the pandemic, culminating in the publication of Weaving Stories — a landmark book spotlighting visual artists using photography to drive community change. Josiane is also developing Rhythm and Hues, an e-commerce platform bringing African and Afro-diasporic art into homes worldwide as wall prints — connecting cultural appreciation with interior storytelling. A leader who believes in building structures where others can speak and thrive, Josiane's work consistently opens new creative economies and increases representation in visual media.
